Certifications & Awareness Training
OVERVIEW
All SHSMs require six or seven sector-recognized certifications that have been identified through extensive employment sector consultations. Completing certifications will help students gain knowledge and skills related to safe work habits and sector-specific training. These certifications have been developed for you to use with your students to fulfill this SHSM red seal grad requirement for the chosen SHSM sector.
This SHSM Certifications package (zip format) is designed for board leads to upload to your Brightspace as a vehicle to deliver various SHSM certifications to students in an asynchronous and student-driven format. By utilizing the provided OCTE-SHSM Course Shell, Lead Teachers will be able to provide, track, and manage student certifications across a variety of sectors.
