Communications Committee

Communications Committee

Our main purpose is communicating OCTE's mission and activities to both OCTE members and potential members and the wider community through tools such as this website, newsletterssocial media, presentations to teachers and school board administrator, and special projects such as the May conference program. Topics for content development have included health and safety, the role of technology teachers, 21st century learning, and the benefits of membership.

As OCTE represents technological education to the Ministry of Education and the College of Teachers, a vital component to our marketing and communications strategy is our membership. This is accomplished by supporting existing members by providing information and access to resources and the recruitment of new members, both educators and industry partners.
